Office of Innovation Hosts Kickoff for Sustaining the Future Pathway
With the theme “Planting the Seed: Believe in the Possibilities,” the event launched the third year of the Environmental STEM magnet initiative.
On July 31, the Office of Innovation held its first-ever kickoff event for the Sustaining the Future (StF) pathway, bringing together over 140 teachers, principals, and administrators from Los Padillas Elementary, Mountain View Elementary, Polk Middle School and Rio Grande High School.
With the theme “Planting the Seed: Believe in the Possibilities,” the event launched the third year of this innovative Environmental STEM magnet initiative in Albuquerque Public Schools. The day was filled with moments of inspiration, collaboration and a shared commitment to reimagining what’s possible for students in the pathway.
Community partners also joined the event, reinforcing their support and strengthening the connections between schools and the broader community.
“This event is more than just a kickoff. It’s a reminder of the powerful work happening in our schools and the collective belief we share in what’s possible for our students,” said Annittra Atler, Senior Director for the Office of Innovation and Project Director for the Sustaining the Future grant. “We are planting the seeds of innovation, equity and environmental leadership, and those seeds are already beginning to grow. We are beyond excited for this next school year."
