North Star Community Comes Together for Clean Up Day
Over 100 volunteers joined forces to beautify the campus, hauling off debris, trimming plants, and sprucing up playgrounds and entrances.
On Saturday, Sept. 20, North Star Elementary hosted its Fall Clean Up Day, welcoming more than 100 families, students and community volunteers to help refresh the campus.
Volunteers—including Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and members of Citizen Church—worked tirelessly from 8 a.m. to noon, weeding, trimming and removing dead bushes and debris. By the end of the day, they had hauled off 20 full-size trailer loads, leaving the playgrounds and entrances looking clean, vibrant and welcoming for students.
“We are grateful for the amazing North Star Community and for our partners at Citizen Church,” North Star Principal Benjamin Barlow said. “The campus looks amazing!”
