Los Ranchos Elementary Steps Into Walktober
More than 200 students, families and community members joined in to celebrate healthy habits, pedestrian safety and school pride.
Walktober is off to a strong start at Los Ranchos Elementary School! More than 160 students and 45 family and community members came together for a morning of fun, fitness and connection during the school’s Walktober event.
The annual celebration promotes the importance of walking to school, encouraging healthy lifestyles, community engagement and environmental awareness. Students, staff and volunteers followed a designated route through the neighborhood while learning valuable pedestrian safety tips along the way.
APS Board President Danielle Gonzales joined the walk to cheer on participants and show her support!
Walktober events will continue at several APS schools throughout October as we celebrate movement, mindfulness and the power of walking together.
