Cadets from three states build teamwork, resilience and life skills during annual leadership camp.

Nearly 180 cadets from New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado recently came together for the 10th Annual Joint Cadet Leadership Camp, celebrating a decade of leadership development, teamwork and personal growth.

Held at Atrisco Heritage Academy High School during the first week of June, the camp brought together 178 students for a week of training, challenges and learning experiences designed to build confidence and character.

Throughout the camp, cadets worked together to overcome physical challenges, develop leadership skills and strengthen their ability to communicate and collaborate with others. The experience encouraged students to step outside their comfort zones while learning valuable life skills that will serve them both in and out of the classroom.

The annual camp has become a tradition for JROTC programs across the region, providing students with opportunities to build friendships, practice leadership and grow as individuals.

As the Joint Cadet Leadership Camp celebrates its 10th year, organizers say the program continues to make a lasting impact by helping young people develop the skills, habits and mindsets needed for future success.
