A surprise landing turned morning drop-off into an unforgettable Balloon Fiesta memory for students and staff.

The Balloon Fiesta fun didn’t end at Balloon Park—it floated right into Alameda Elementary!

Just as the school gates opened, a special-shaped balloon made a perfect landing on campus. Pilot Mr. Roger wowed students by taking an educational assistant up on a tethered lift while the crowd cheered, and later gave Principal Melissa Sanchez a quick flight over the school before gently setting down on the grass field.

Students even got to help “milk the balloon” as it deflated—a true hands-on Balloon Fiesta experience!

At Alameda, even morning duty comes with a view and a little extra Fiesta magic.
