Desert Ridge Art Teacher Earns National Recognition
Camellia Termini receives Pacific Region award for excellence in middle school art education.
A visual arts educator at Desert Ridge Middle School has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to art education.
Camellia Termini was selected as the 2026 Pacific Region Middle Level Art Educator Award recipient by the National Art Education Association. The honor recognizes exceptional art educators who demonstrate excellence in teaching and a strong commitment to student learning.
Award recipients from across the country were celebrated at the organization’s 2026 National Convention in Chicago in March.
“This recognition means a great deal to me,” Termini said. “I feel incredibly lucky to work in a school community that values creativity, growth and student-centered learning.”
The National Art Education Association’s awards program highlights outstanding educators and programs while raising awareness about the importance of high-quality art education. The program also recognizes individuals who help set standards for excellence and inspire creativity in their classrooms.
Through educators like Termini, students at Desert Ridge are encouraged to explore their creativity, develop artistic skills and grow as confident learners.
