Collet Park Elementary School is celebrating a major statewide achievement after being named the top-voted elementary school chapter in New Mexico for Best Buddies.
Best Buddies International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a global volunteer movement that fosters one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. School-based chapters like the one at Collet Park help break down social barriers by pairing students with and without disabilities to build meaningful, lasting connections and create a culture of acceptance across campus.
