Cleveland Middle School’s eighth-grade students recently enjoyed a unique civics experience when Judges Cindy Leos and Lisa Ortega from the Second Judicial District Court visited their classrooms for Constitution Day.

Moving beyond standard textbooks, the judges led enlightening discussions that brought foundational constitutional principles to life. They shared real-world perspectives on how the judicial system functions and highlighted the lasting impact of these rights on everyday society. The interactive session left the students with a deeper understanding of the U.S. Constitution and a renewed appreciation for active citizenship.
