What her family says:
“Hollis is awesome!” She is curious and kind to her peers, a natural includer and always generous. She loves her brother and her pets, and she is wise beyond her years. “She is a real force of nature.”
What her teacher says:
“I am beyond proud of Hollis for representing Monte Vista at the district spelling bee. Her intrinsic motivation and determination are admirable. She is always up for a challenge.” - Tara Dayton, Teacher
Favorite subject in school:
She loves math and English Language Arts, especially spelling. She is beginning to learn more deeply about root words, prefixes and suffixes.
Hobbies and activities:
Hollis keeps busy playing soccer and basketball. She is a member of the chess club and the Planeteers Environmental Club at school. When the opportunity arises, she enjoys rock climbing.
