Junior Achievement

NM Career Clusters Guide

The New Mexico Public Education Department has published an excellent Career Clusters Guide - English (PDF) and Career Cluster Guide - Spanish (PDF). This guide provides information on career clusters and what programs of study might be followed for specific careers. The beginning of this guide is a career interest inventory to help students identify which career pathways to pursue.

Job Mentor Program

The Job Mentor Program is offered by the City of Albuquerque as part of the Community Recreation & Educational Initiatives (CREI) Division of the City of Albuquerque Department of Family and Community Services.

The Job Mentor Program (JMP) prepares high school students for the workforce through a school-based program and paid summer internships. 

Youth Development Inc. (YDI) 

Youth Development Inc (YDI) is comprised of programs that provide alternative education, drop out prevention and workforce development services to youth and young adults. EE&T serves over 3,000 youth and adults per year providing tutoring, High School Equivalency Diploma instruction (GED or HiSET,) workforce training, leadership activities, mentoring, job development and work experience.

All programs and services are aimed at empowering youth to further develop the skills and education necessary to promote positive citizenship in their community.

Food and Housing Assistance

Explore. Act. Tell. 

Explore. Act. Tell. is a free project-based learning program that teaches 6th -12th grade students to understand and combat food insecurity in their community. Once registered CTE teachers and students will have access to four interactive lessons. Registration is free!

The New Mexico Association of Food Banks 

The New Mexico Association of Food Banks  is a collaboration of five New Mexico food banks, providing food to our neighbors in need.  Food is distributed by each member food bank through a statewide network of hunger relief locations impacting every county in the state.

Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico

The Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico, is the largest non-profit dedicated to solving the food insecurity in New Mexico. The Roadrunner Food Bank distributes food through specialized programs helping children, families and seniors at schools, low-income senior housing sites, senior centers and with and through health care partnerships

The Storehouse New Mexico 

If you or someone you know is skipping meals and going hungry, let them know the Storehouse New Mexico food pantry is here to help. People who visit the Storehouse receive a full shopping cart of free groceries, including a pre-packed box of nonperishable items, plus meats, dairy, and fruits and/or vegetables. The food is being pre-packed in carts by our staff and volunteers. Each person will check in with our staff, get a number, and then collect their food outside at the south door. Full information on what to bring and our calendar is on the Need Food page.

Rio Grande Food Project

Rio Grande Food Project (RGFP) is the largest food pantry on Albuquerque’s west side located at 600 Coors Blvd. NW (south of Interstate 40), in an area known as a “food desert” where a significant portion of residents do not have sufficient access to quality food.  RGFP offers FREE grocery pickup for income-qualifying Individuals and Families

The Cook Center For Human Connection provides, "avenues for mental health support. We live in an increasingly isolated world where human connection is more important than ever.
