Community Volunteers Support Students
During the 2022-2023 school year a variety of individuals and organizations gave their time and expertise to ensure that students who have been identified as living in a homeless situation, have the support and resources to stay in school and succeed.
We send our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the many wonderful, generous, caring volunteers who help to make our program a success. Knowing that there is someone who cares enough to help ensure success in school means the world to children and youth experiencing instability and uncertainty.
A large variety of local businesses, religious organizations, non-profits and civic organizations, school and government entities all volunteered in countless ways. Food and hygiene product drives, book and school supply drives were held throughout the year. These drives were indispensable as they allowed students to receive the little extras that keep youth motivated and in school. Being able to supply hygiene products, or a weekly snack pack, or that much-needed baseball glove so participation in school sports can happen is what kept many students attending school.
Each of our after school tutoring sites benefited from having several volunteers regularly attend throughout the school year. These individuals were able to provide direct instruction, mentorship, and most importantly, these volunteers helped foster positive, stable relationships with students.
We couldn’t do it without you!
