Free Insurance Enrollment and 'Fun Fair' Event on Saturday, November 14th

Free health care enrollment event will be held in the main building at Ernie Pyle Middle School from 10 am to 2 pm.

Enroll in Medicaid or get a health care guide that provides information on applying for Medicaid, Medicare or insurance on New Mexico's Health Care Exchange.  This free event will be held in the main building at Ernie Pyle Middle School from 10 am to 2 pm on Saturday, November 14, 2015.  Ernie Pyle Middle School is located at 1820 Valdora Rd. SW (map).

On-site enrollment will be offered as well as certified health care guides to provide information and assistance in applying for Medicaid, Medicare or information on insurance through New Mexico’s Health Care Exchange. Open enrollment for the health insurance exchange begins November 1, 2015 through January 31, 2016, at which time, those without health care coverage will be charged a tax penalty for each family member who does not have health care coverage.

“Because health-related issues can be barriers to learning, APS is working on ways for students and families to be healthier,” said Brian Bolding, Medicaid enrollment coordinator in the APS Student, Family, and Community Supports Division. “We at APS believe that a healthier student is a more successful student.”

Enjoy free food and drinks, arts and crafts, an hourly door prize drawing and presentations on healthy lifestyles!
