APS Esports Teams

Currently, APS esports programs are available at 9 elementary schools, 12 middle schools, and 17 high schools

child in EsportsAlbuquerque Public Schools Esports programs have made a positive impact in the lives of our students with multiple reported benefits, including player socialization, problem-solving and strategy skills, critical thinking skills, and much more. During the pandemic when schools were shut down, our program thrived, as esports was one of the only activities that could be done virtually. The social-emotional benefits showed a continuation of communication when students felt isolated, with students reporting being grateful to the program for giving them the one bright light in their day.

Currently, APS esports programs are available at 9 elementary schools, 12 middle schools, and 17 high schools - and our program continues to grow.

Now a member of the North America Scholastic Esports Federation (NMAA), APS esports has formed the New Mexico Scholastic Esports Federation (NMSEF). Together, we are working with statewide leaders in Esports to bring scholastic Esports and its many benefits to our students throughout New Mexico.
