Use ParentVUE/StudentVUE for school registration and to check grades, assignments, attendance, calendars, teacher contact information, and more.

ParentVUE/StudentVUE Account Access

ParentVUE and StudentVUE are the APS student information systems that give parents and students secure, private access to school and student information.

ParentVUE/StudentVUE Features

ParentVUE isn't just for student registration. As many of our parents and guardians already know, it's a great tool to check grades, assignments, attendance, calendars, teacher contact information, and more!

  • ParentVUE/StudentVUE is available in English and Spanish.
  • Students can sign up for StudentVUE to check grades, assignments, attendance, calendars, teacher contact information.
  • Families who have more than one student in APS can access all student information using their ParentVUE username and password. You only need one ParentVUE account for all APS students in your home.
  • Update your information anytime (child's address, phone number, email address, and emergency contacts) by logging into ParentVUE.
  • Download the free ParentVUE app in your App Store or Google Play.
  • ParentVUE/StudentVUE offers secure, private access to school and student information, including assignments, grades, attendance, school calendar, and teacher contact details.

Register Your Student through ParentVUE

 If your child attends or will attend APS, you must create a ParentVUE account to register your child for school.

Step 1: Create Your Account

When you are entering your information during the account creation process, the parent and student names must match exactly as they are listed in the APS student information system, or you will not be able to create an account.
  1. Create Your Account on MyStudent.APS.edu.
  2. You will be taken to a screen with several options. For the purposes of these instructions, you will be creating an account as a parent. Choose one of the options listed:
    • Option 1: Never logged on. I need an activation key.
    • Option 2: I have an activation key. I'm ready to set up my account.
    • Option 3: I've already set up my account I'm ready to login.
  3. If you’re a parent and have more than one child active in APS, to receive your activation key, choose one child to fill out the information for.

Option 1: If You Need an Activation Key

  1. Create Your Account.
  2. Click on: "{Step 1} I have never logged in and I need an activation key."
  3. Click on the "Parents Click Here" icon/link.
  4. Welcome to the ParentVUE Activation Key Retrieval Page.
    Fill out the form completely and accurately (see sample parent form below).
  5. Click on the “Get Your Activation Key” button located in the bottom left corner of the window.

  6. Your activation key will be emailed to the address you provided in the form. The email you receive will have the subject line, "ParentVUE Activation Key", and will be addressed from "noreply@aps.edu". Follow the directions carefully in the email to continue creating your account.

Option 2: If You Have an Activation Key

Follow these instructions if you have received your activation key via email from the steps above, or via a paper letter from your child's school.

  1. Create Your Account.
  2. Click on: "{Step 2} I have an activation key. I'm ready to set up my account."
  3. Click on the "Parents Click Here" icon to proceed.
  4. Privacy Statement. Read the privacy statement and click on the “I Accept” button located in the bottom left corner of the window to proceed.
  5. Sign in with Activation Key. Enter your first name, last name and activation key found in your activation key email. Click on the “Continue to Step 3” button located in the bottom of the window to proceed.
  6. Choose user name and password. Read the directions carefully. You are now asked to create a permanent username, password, and a primary email address.
  7. After you fill out all the fields, click on the “Complete Account Activation” button located in the bottom of the window to proceed.
  8. You have activated your account! Upon successful completion, you will be logged into your ParentVUE account portal.

Option 3: If You Have Your Account Set Up

  1. Go directly to ParentVUE to sign-in to your account.
  2. Click on: "I am a parent."
  3. You will be taken directly to the ParentVUE/StudentVUE login page. Enter the username and password you created when you set up your account. Click “Login” to access your account.

Step 2: Complete Online Registration

Families who already have created their account can login to their ParentVUE account to complete registration. Verify that all information is up to date.

Step 1: Prepare Your Documents

To make the online registration process smooth and convenient, please have the following information available:

  • Proof of address
  • Student's Birth Certificate (or Affidavit)
  • Parent/guardian(s) name and contact information
  • Emergency contacts and  phone number(s)
  • Health information including the name of your healthcare provider, dentist, health conditions and/or medication (if applicable)
  • Immunization Card
  • Previous school's address and phone number
  • Custodial documentation (if applicable)
Immunizations

All students enrolled in APS schools must have updated vaccination records.

Current immunization information can be found on the Nursing Immunization Info for Parents page. Make appointments with your health care provider to keep your child’s shots up-to-date.

Step 2: Log into Your ParentVUE Account to Verify Student Information

You will need to set up a ParentVUE account to register your child(ren) online. Once you log into ParentVUE, you'll be asked to review and update your student's information:

  • Address
  • Parent/guardian(s) name and contact information
  • Emergency contacts and phone number(s)
  • Student information
  • Health information including the name of your healthcare provider, dentist, health conditions and/or medication (if applicable)
  • Immunizations
  • Information Release
  • Language Usage Survey
  • Previous schools attended
  • Parent/Guardian relationships
  • Disciplinary history

About the Annual Verification Process

As you complete the annual verification process you may notice that some fields are non-editable. If any information provided in ParentVUE is incorrect, please contact your child's school to update that information.

  • Mandatory fields will be indicated by a red asterisk (*) and will prevent a parent from moving forward until completed.
  • Due to the REAL ID Act of 2005, all information provided by the parent or guardian should match legal documentation.

Step 3: Provide Proof of Residency, Additional Documentation to the School

Annually Provide Proof of Residency

Families need to provide proof of residency each school year. Please visit your school to provide proof of residency and complete your registration. The registration process is not complete until you've visited your student's school to provide school staff with proof of residency.

 

Among the documents that will be accepted to establish residency are:

  • A current New Mexico Driver's license
  • A deed or mortgage payment receipt
  • A current property tax bill, current lease or housing agreement
  • A current utility bill

Additional Documents

You will be asked to provide the following documents directly to your child's school:

  • Immunization Card
  • Previous school's address and phone number
  • Proof of address
  • Custodial documentation (if applicable)

Need Computer and Internet Access?

If you do not have a computer or access to the internet, please contact your student's school. Computers and internet access will be available at their school.

Reset your ParentVUE password:

  1. Visit ParentVUE Password Reset.
  2. Enter the primary email address linked to your ParentVUE account.
  3. ParentVUE will email a password reset link with the username and password information.

So, if you haven't already registered your student online, please take the time to register now. Here's what you need to know. Online registration will give you 24/7 access to your student's grades, attendance reports, homework assignments and much more. Your updated information will also be used to contact you in the event of an emergency. Go to APS.edu and log on to your ParentVUE account or create a new account. Instructional videos, in English and Spanish, are available on APS.edu to walk you through the process, step by step. Now before you log on, make sure you have the following information ready to share. Your student's address. You only need one ParentVUE account for all APS students in your home. Parent or guardian name and contact information. Emergency contact information. Health information, including the name of your healthcare provider, dentist, health conditions and/or medication, if applicable. Please know, the registration process is not complete until you've visited your student's school to provide school staff with your proof of residency. There's a catalog of options that will be accepted to establish residency. The documentations include a current New Mexico driver's license, a deed or mortgage payment receipt, a current property tax bill, current lease or housing agreement, a current utility bill. You will also need your student's immunization card, address and phone number of school your child last attended, custodial documentation, if applicable. If you don't have access to a computer or the internet, please contact your student's school. Computers will be available there. You can also download the ParentVUE app on your smartphone, at no cost, in your App Store or Google Play. Please, register now if you haven't already. [Narrador] Si usted es estudiante, padre de familia, o tutor legal de las escuelas públicas Albuquerque tenemos muy buenas noticias que compartirles. El sistema de información estudiantil utilizado en todas las escuelas de APS también conocido como "StudentVue" o "ParentVue" ha agregado nuevas y mejoradas funciones para hacerle la vida más fácil y para que tenga mejor e inmediato acceso a información académica al día.
