Student of the Week Savannah Romero
Junior at nex+Gen Academy
Nusenda Credit Union, in partnership with the APS Education Foundation, highlights an APS student each week.
A little about Savannah’s school experience: I have always loved attending school for as long as I can remember. School has given me an opportunity to learn new concepts and build great friendships. For me, like most students, school is not a breeze and things can definitely pile up to the point where it becomes a bit overwhelming. However, I try not to let that get in the way of being successful and giving my best effort on a daily basis. I have to multitask school and sports along with my extracurriculars quite often, but I let my optimistic and determined mindset motivate me to keep me going.
Favorite course: My favorite class would most likely be biology. Any science class fascinates me. They are all so complex and intriguing, but if I had to choose one it would be biology.
Plans for the future? I plan on attending a 4-year college and would like to be a veterinarian or physical therapist.
