4th grader at Petroglyph Elementary School

Nusenda Credit Union, in partnership with the APS Education Foundation, highlights an APS student each week.

What Lily's parents say about her: "Lily is a blessing in our home!  She is a wonderful example to her three younger siblings by displaying love, kindness, strength, and dedication in all that she does.  She is naturally a peacemaker and wants the best for everyone.  Lily has a strong curiosity for learning any subject and pursues a topic to understand it completely."

What Lily's teacher says about her: "Lily is a hard-working, focused student who loves learning and improving her skills. She is thoughtful and deliberate in completing every task and she is kind, cooperative, and helpful."

Favorite subject: Lily excels in math, yet she is just as strong in language arts. She enjoys both subjects and is a bright critical thinker. Science is also a favorite as she is very interested in botany! She hopes one day to become a botanist so that she can cross-pollinate tropical fruits.  She is currently growing succulents and romaine lettuce.

Hobbies and activities: Lily owns and takes care of her two bunnies Dobbie and Narcissa. In her spare time, she loves to run cross country, swim, golf, play the piano, and do anything with arts and crafts. She enjoys anything that has to do with Harry Potter, including reading all the books!
