- Excellence: Kai gives his best effort in all academic areas!
- Loyalty: Kai is new to Whittier. He moved from New Jersey. He loves coming to school, his family loves everything Whittier has done and has to offer.
- Pride: Kai takes pride in his academic achievements. He loves his family's culture and background.
What is unique about Kai that makes him deserving of this honor? Kai works great in small groups. He participates in the whole group through chat, verbal and nonverbal communication, and completes all assignments. Kai is grateful for the opportunities provided by the school this year, and is mindful of and caring about others. Kai celebrates his academic success and finds the positive when he encounters academic struggles. He sets high goals and understands that if he does not reach his goals for the month he needs to put more effort and focus in those areas. He can be shy, but once he becomes more comfortable he has a great sense of humor.
