8th grader at Harrison Middle School

Nusenda Credit Union, in partnership with the APS Education Foundation, highlights an APS student each week.

Eloisa's favorite subject: Language Arts because I love to read and learn new skills to improve my writing.

Hobbies and activities: I participate in a lot of activities at my school because I want to be a good leader for Harrison. Last year, I joined the Safe Schools Alliance Club and this year I am in the Computer Science Club. I have been in AVID for two years and am applying to be in AVID next year in high school. I like being in AVID because when I go to college I can use the skills I have and will foster over the years in AVID to my advantage in the future.

I was elected to be the Student Council Historian this year. I love making presentations for the Student Council where I edit videos and use lots of technology skills. I think it was all this technology work and joining the Computer Science Club that made my teachers nominate me for our HMS LIT Club (Leadership Innovators Team) which you can only join If you are invited. In LIT I am learning even more about technology from professionals at EdTech. We are learning how to prepare and lead workshops for students, teachers, and community members to help them get better with technology.

I like to eat and I love sleeping. I enjoy reading romance novels and I love old cars (I love Chevys and hate Fords). My favorite car is a 1963 Chevy Corvette. I love country music - my favorite song is "Better Together" by Luke Combs. I also love my family and will do anything to help them, mentally and emotionally. I also love dancing around with my mom for no reason.
