What Ashley likes about school: What I appreciate most about school are the opportunities it provides to students. School is the first exposure to a world outside of your own home and plays a major role in the development of personality. Schools act as the stepping stone to your path in life and teach you how to get where you want to go.

Favorite class: There are three classes in a tie for my favorite. Child Development, Stagecraft, and Sociology have been my favorite thus far. Child Development taught me about how children think and why they do the things they do. My mom sparked a passion for working with children when I would help her in her classroom growing up. Stagecraft was all around a great experience. My teacher would allow us to be creative, interpretative, and specialize in what we felt passionate about in the program. I was able to try many different aspects of technical theater that taught me skills that will help in many other areas of work. Sociology is a class that came very naturally to me, as well as sparked my interest. I have always wanted to work with and understand people better, and this class taught me how to do so.

Activities and hobbies: I have many hobbies! I enjoy doing all types of things, from video games to crafting, camping, and anything that involves music or being outside.

Plans for the future: My future could go many ways right now. There are many career paths that I am looking into and feel passionate about, so I am waiting to see which one pans out. As far as right now, I am looking to apply to CNM to complete my basics, and then I will settle on a major.
