What Akasha's teacher says about her: Akasha is a hard-working student and always willing to help her community. She pushes herself to new academic levels every day! Akasha will always lend a hand to help out a struggling classmate. She has a strong sense of justice and is a risk-taker. She is a proud Zuni student, willing to share her rich culture with our class. I have already learned a lot from Akasha and she continues to challenge me, her teacher, every day.

Favorite subjects: Math and reading

Outside interests: Akasha is thinking about becoming a chef. Her grandmother is teaching her how to cook.
