Student of the Week: Destiny Archibald

Congratulations to Destiny Archibald, a fifth grader at Mission Avenue Elementary, for being named the Student of the Week by the New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union and the APS Education Foundation.

What can a parent or teacher say about this student?
Destiny is a wonderful student who loves school. She is a great example for others, always has a smile on her face and practices being a Thunderbird. She is Responsible, Respectful, Dependable, Safe and Positive.

Her mother and grandmother were former Mission Avenue students and she has special ties to the Mission Avenue community.

Destiny had perfect attendance last school year and never received behavior referrals to the office.

What’s this student’s favorite subject?
Math since she loves numbers. She loves multiplying and dividing numbers.

What are this student’s hobbies or activities, both at school and outside of school?
She is an active student in the community and participates in extracurricular activities such as track, basketball and soccer. She also loves watching professional football and high school football games.

She has actively participated in promoting awareness on Zak Lannon and his illness at West Mesa High School.
