Gonzales Re-elected APS Board President
Jackson will serve as vice president, Astorga re-elected to secretary post.
The Albuquerque Public Schools Board of Education elected Danielle Gonzales for a second term as president during a meeting on Wednesday.
The board also elected board member Courtney Jackson as vice president and re-elected Janelle Astorga as board secretary.
The board also selected chairs of its standing committees and set meeting schedules for those committees
Keeping with APS Board tradition where the vice president heads the Audit Committee, Jackson will chair that panel. Those meetings will be held virtually on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 5 p.m.
Board Member Crystal Tapia-Romero was re-elected chair of the Finance Committee. Those meetings will be held virtually at 8 a.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month.
Board member Josefina Dominguez was re-elected chair of the Policy Committee, with those meetings being held virtually at 5:15 p.m. on the first Monday of each month.
