Board Members Tapia-Romero, Benavidez to Hold Town Halls
Both events scheduled for March 3.
Two more APS Board of Education members – Crystal Tapia-Romero and Heather Benavidez – are holding town hall meetings to talk to members of the public about education issues.
Tapia-Romero, the representative of District 5 on Albuquerque’s West Side, will hold her meeting March 3 at West Mesa High School’s library at 5:30 p.m.
Benavidez, who represents District 4 in the Southeast Heights and parts of the Northeast Heights, will hold her meeting on the same evening at 6 p.m. at Highland High School, either in the library or cafeteria.
Board members in all seven APS districts have held town halls in recent weeks to gain insight into constituents’ wants and needs in the state’s largest school district. The events have been well-attended, with excellent input.
