Art is Elementary Opens This Week
The exhibit and opening reception are free and open to the public.
The annual Albuquerque Public Schools Art is Elementary Exhibit opens Tuesday, Feb. 25, and runs through March 15 at the APS Berna Facio Professional Development Complex, 3115 Louisiana Blvd. NE.
Exhibit hours are 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on the following Saturdays: March 1, March 8, and March 15.
An opening reception, featuring live music, food trucks and a collaborative art project, will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 25. The exhibit and opening reception are free and open to the public.
The exhibit is sponsored by the APS Fine Arts Department. The art featured in the show is created by APS students in grades K-5 in their visual arts classes, and their work showcases a variety of media and genres.
