New Mexico-specific resources
- New Mexico student journeys: Under journeys on the navigation bar, you will find five New Mexico-specific journeys, one for each grade, 8th through 12th. All five Journeys will be located at the bottom of the journeys page, below the general journey library. These journeys are designed to help students stay on track with the college and career planning required to complete their Next Step Plan. Each journey consists of sequenced projects that guide students toward defining and achieving their postsecondary goals. The intention is for students to work through these journeys over the course of the school year. As they make progress, educators will be able to track and view their completion status on the dashboard.
- New Mexico Next Step Plan page: Under partners on the navigation bar, you'll find the New Mexico Next Step Plan page, a valuable resource for educators and students. This includes a variety of topics related to the Next Step Plan, such as its purpose, the differences between the interim and final Next Step Plans, and other information required for students to fill out their own Next Step Plan. The take action tab includes the projects that guide students through updating their Next Step Plans. Please note that these projects are the same as those housed under the grade-by-grade journeys. All referenced external resources, including the Next Step Plans and required worksheets, can be easily accessed by students under the resources tab.
- New Mexico Specific Curriculum: Partners on the navigation bar also contains New Mexico-specific curricula, available exclusively to New Mexico educators. Each of the five curricula align to one of the student journeys. Educators that are helping to facilitate the completion of Next Step Plans (advisors, counselors, etc.) should use the curriculum specific to their students’ grade level. Each curriculum begins with an overview that outlines key details, such as the suggested number of sessions, guiding principle, essential questions, and instructions for accessing necessary materials. The curriculum includes several lesson plans, each of which will aid instruction of the background information necessary for students to engage with one project in the Journey. The sequence of the lesson plans in the curriculum will align to the sequence found in the journey.
- My Documents: Level All’s dashboard will allow educators to view student engagement metrics, assess progress along projects and journeys, and access documents uploaded by students. For New Mexico students, this feature is being used for the submission of Next Step Plans. To submit documents, students will open the profile section of their account by clicking the profile icon (
) at the top right of the navigation bar. There, they will see an option for my documents, where they’ll be prompted with instructions for how to upload. Once the upload is complete, educators with administrator privileges and educators with the student assigned to them will be able to see and download the document under documents within the my groups tab of the dashboard. Instructions for student upload are also included in the Next Step Plan-specific projects within the student journeys.
