Albuquerque High Art Teacher Featured on ¡Colores!

Lisa Gillett, whose jewelry-making program has been lauded for many years, is featured on the New Mexico PBS program.

Albuquerque High School fine arts teacher Lisa Gillett will be interviewed on an upcoming episode of ¡Colores!, a weekly art series on New Mexico PBS.

Gillett, a veteran teacher who has been recognized for her ability to help students find their artistic voice, has worked at AHS for more than 20 years and this year was recognized by the New Mexico Art Education Association as its art educator of the year.

The episode featuring an interview with Gillett will air May 17 at 4 p.m., and May 23 on Channel 5.4 at 8 p.m. The episode also will stream on the PBS app following the premiere.
