PBS to Showcase Metro Youth Art Exhibit
The Albuquerque Public School's Metro Youth Art Exhibit is being featured on a television series on PBS this weekend.
¡COLORES!—the weekly art series that celebrates the creative spirit—will include a segment on the exhibit on the episode airing at 4 p.m. Saturday on Channel 5.1. It rebroadcasts the following Friday at 8 p.m. on Channel 5.4, and will also stream on the PBS app.
The Metro Youth Art Exhibit ran through May 2. The professionally juried exhibit was sponsored by the APS Fine Arts Department and featured art created by APS students in a variety of high school visual arts classes. Selected work from middle school students was also displayed at the show.
¡COLORES! features local and national stories about film, visual and performing arts, theatre, photography, literature, painting, sculpture, poetry, and dance.
