The Albuquerque Public Schools Board of Education recently approved meeting dates for the coming year. The board is required by law to update its Open Meetings Act resolution annually to assure the public is given reasonable notice of all board meetings.

In accordance with the Open Meetings Act, the APS Board Services Office posts meeting dates at least 10 days and agendas at least three days before all meetings. The information is posted on the Board of Education’s external public site: The site provides a meeting calendar, agendas, minutes, meeting videos, past meetings, and more. Meetings are also listed on the APS website: Board Meeting Dates and Agendas.

The board has moved away from its tradition of having all seven members serve on all committees (known as committees of the whole.) Instead, board members chose their committees this year. Each board member will still receive all meeting materials and have the opportunity to submit written questions before meetings, which are answered by staff and posted as Q&As at the bottom of agendas.
