Did You Get Your APS Wall Calendar
The free calendars are being distributed to families, staff, and neighbors.
For 14 years, the Albuquerque Public Schools Communications Office has worked with Albuquerque the Magazine on designing and printing wall calendars filled with important dates, information, and tips for families and staff.
The APS Mail Center distributed nearly 80,000 calendars to schools and departments just as the new school year began. Check with your child's school about getting a copy.
The 2022-2023 calendar theme is APS Connects, emphasizing the strong relationships between APS students, staff, and the community.
"We're all about making connections in Albuquerque Public Schools, and not just in the classroom, where every lesson—every interaction—provides an opportunity for students to connect cognitively, emotionally, physically, or socially to the world around them," APS Superintendent Scott Elder wrote in his calendar message. "We connect with families, colleagues, and neighbors, too. In doing so, we forge relationships and partnerships that build a solid foundation for students to learn, grow, and thrive."
The district is extending this year's calendar theme to social media, launching a campaign using the hashtag #APSConnects. Schools, departments, and partners are encouraged to use #APSConnects when posting to social media and to tag the district @ABQschools and Superintendent Elder @SuptABQschools.
Thanks to Albuquerque the Magazine for their work alongside the APS Communications Office on creating this excellent resource that's helpful, handy, and nice to look at, too!
