Partnership Enables Foundation to Accept Donated Vehicles

Donors can offer their cars, trucks, boats and RVs to support education in Albuquerque.

The APS Education Foundation is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Drive Generosity, an Albuquerque company that specializes in creative giving options for nonprofits.

Drive Generosity puts local giving in gear by turning donated cars, trucks, RVs, motorcycles or even boats and planes into resources for charitable organizations.

This partnership allows the Foundation new ways to connect with donors and new avenues for continued support for educational initiatives in Albuquerque. Meanwhile, vehicle gifts offer donors new, tax-deductible opportunities to support the Foundation’s work in the community.

The Foundation can now accept donated automobiles in any condition, which Drive Generosity will turn into valuable resources to support our continued on behalf of Albuquerque students.

“We are thrilled to work with the APS Education Foundation to help build bright futures for Albuquerque children,” said Drive Generosity co-founder Karl Moser, who has a 30-plus-year career in the New Mexico auto industry. “Drive Generosity is all about helping nonprofits creatively connect with their supporters and helping donors support organizations that are improving New Mexico communities. We believe in the power of generous and innovative giving, and we know the Foundation’s donors will be excited to have a new option to support Albuquerque Public Schools students and teachers.”

Co-founders Karl Moser and Matthew Shope launched Drive Generosity because they saw an opportunity to create new resources and new donors for nonprofits. The company was created in the recognition that operating an internal auto donation program can be expensive and laborious for charities, as these programs require insurance, transportation, knowledge of tax laws, and a staff to oversee the donations.

These things are expensive and carry liability that many nonprofits do not have the resources to handle themselves. Drive Generosity is proud to work alongside the APS Education Foundation to help it develop, market and manage a new program to accept these unique gifts from donors.
