Foundation Board Elects New President

Jeff Lunsford takes the reigns of the 22-member board of directors.

Longtime community volunteer and education advocate Jeff Lunsford has been elected president of the APS Education Foundation Board of Directors.

Lunsford is the Vice President of Sales for Federal, DOE, and Select Accounts at Technology Integration Group (TIG), an IT value-added reseller and service provider, and is responsible for its Department of Energy business nationwide as well as all New Mexico-based business. He  has been with TIG since 2001. From 1995 to 2001, he operated a New Mexico-based IT consulting and training company. Prior to that he worked at Sandia National Laboratories in a variety of engineering and managerial roles.

Lunsford serves on the Los Alamos National Laboratory Major Subcontractor Consortium as its current Vice Chairman and has been on the APS Education Foundation Board for several years, most recently as its vice president. He previously held numerous positions with the New Mexico Technology Council (NMTC), including the vice Chairman, chairman, and president positions.

In addition, Tammy Grady Thornton of Raylee Homes: A New Generation has been elected as the Foundation’s vice president, and Tony Dees of Kirtland Federal Credit Union will serve as its secretary-treasurer. The Foundation’s board currently consists of 22 voting members, including two district students – La Cueva High School junior Hailey Fortin and Atrisco Heritage Academy senior Jonathan Salazar.
