Virtual Open House for Online School Canceled

The event may be rescheduled for a later date.

Albuquerque Public Schools is offering a full-time, online learning option for interested students in all grades this coming school year.

The district expanded its online high school, eCADEMY, to include kindergarten through eighth grade. The magnet school will offer a comprehensive curriculum, a teacher/student ratio comparable to traditional classrooms, district-provided technology for each enrolled student, and school/home partnerships to ensure student success.

The school is set to start in mid-August along with all other APS schools.

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham announced on July 23 that New Mexico’s public school districts need to offer online-only learning options for all students this fall.

APS is still working out what role eCADEMY will play in that directive. In the meantime, a virtual open house of the school planned for later this week has been canceled.

Hundreds of students have already signed up for the school, and parents are invited to explore this option:

  • eCADEMY K8 Online
  • eCADEMY High School
