Teacher of the Month Focused on Students

L.B.J. Middle School Teacher Michelle Mullen connects with students inside and outside of the classroom.

Engaged, caring and focused describe Michelle Mullen’s classroom at L.B.J. Middle School.  Mullen is the Pepsi and the APS Education Foundation Teacher of the Month for April. 

Mullen said she is constantly learning along with her students so that she can improve her craft of teaching.  “I thrive on not doing the same things twice, so I always do something new,” said Mullen.

On the day we visited her class she was helping students to understand how they can use their words to engage the reader. 

This is the sixth year that Pepsi and the APS Education Foundation have honored a teacher of the month.
