Pick Up Grab-and-Go Meals at APS High Schools Starting in August

Families can pick up a week's worth of meals on Mondays. In mid-August, families will need school-issued tickets to pick up meals.

As students prepare to start the school year remotely and then possibly move to a mix of in-school and at-home learning, APS once again is prepared to feed them.

On the first two Mondays in August, beginning Aug. 3, all APS students can pick up a week’s worth of meals from 11 am-12:30 pm or 4-5:30 pm at any of the district’s 13 comprehensive high schools:

  • Albuquerque High - student parking off Odelia
  • Atrisco Heritage - student parking lot off 118 St.
  • Cibola - north student parking lot off Ellison
  • Del Norte - student parking lot off San Mateo
  • Eldorado - student parking lot off Juan Tabo
  • Highland - student parking off Silver
  • La Cueva - student parking lot off Alameda
  • Manzano - student parking lot off Lomas
  • Rio Grande - student parking lot at the corner of Arenal and Los Faisanes
  • Sandia - student parking at the corner of Pennsylvania and Candelaria
  • Valley - drop off loop off Candelaria
  • Volcano Vista - parking lot off Rainbow
  • West Mesa - parking lot off Glenrio

Beginning Aug. 17, APS will begin using a ticket system for meal pick up. The tickets will help APS track meals as required by the USDA National School Lunch Program, which reimburses school districts for meals.

You can pick up the pre-printed meal tickets at your child’s school from 7-9 am or 11 am-1 pm Aug. 13 and 14.

The tickets will include the student’s name, ID number, and school.

Bring the tickets with you beginning Aug. 17 to any of the high school grab-and-go sites for a week’s worth of meals on Mondays from 11 am-12:30 pm or 4–5:30 pm (schedule will be adjusted when holidays fall on Mondays.)

Families who don’t qualify for free meals have the option of pre-paying for meals at their child’s school or through (which charges a convenience fee.) More information is available on the APS Food and Nutrition Services website.

APS Food and Nutrition Services provides complete meals to all students; no child is every denied regardless of eligibility. We accept monetary donations to help cover the cost for students in need.  Call 345-5661, extension 38209, for more information and to make donations.
