Service Center Helps Families Navigate the District

Posted August 19, 2019, 10:55 AM. Updated September 9, 2019, 4:11 PM.

The customer service arm of Albuquerque Public Schools can help with transfers, conflicts, complaints and more.

The Student, Parent and Employee Service Center is made up of a friendly group of people who know the ins and outs of the district both academically and administratively.

Led by longtime APS school administrator and former Chief Academic Officer Shelly Green, the Service Center staff helps with a litany of problems every day from understanding policies and procedures to finding the right person to contact.

Transfers, boundaries, benefits, conflicts, buses, substitutes, weather delays, air conditioners on the fritz, heaters blowing cold air, backups in student drop off and pick up lines...you name it, they’ve dealt with it.

Their scope of work includes managing students transfers. If you're looking for information about how to submit a transfer request to switch schools, go to the Student Transfers page.

Don’t hesitate to give them a call, send them an email or stop by. We just ask that you be patient when you contact them, because lots and lots of people do!

You can reach them by calling 855-9040 or emailing servicecenter@aps.edu. They are located on the bottom floor of City Centre (the APS administration building).
