Supt. Reedy Thanks Voters for Supporting Students, Schools
Voter approval of a $575 million bond/mil levy "guarantees a better educational experience for our students," said APS Superintendent Raquel Reedy.
“We want to thank everyone in the community who took the time to vote in this election.
Your support guarantees a better educational experience for our students. There will be funds for much-needed repairs and improvements in many of our schools – some of which were built in the 1950s.
We can keep up with the ever-changing technology upgrades necessary to adapt to the digital world we now live in.
We can add more security cameras to some schools, assist charter schools with pressing facility needs and know that our kids, teachers and staff will have safe, healthy schools to learn and grow in.
Our students are too young to vote. They rely on adults to have their best interest at heart. I want to again thank all our volunteers, teachers, students, community and business leaders and every person who voted “yes” in this election.”
