Eldorado Girls Win District with Game-Changing Shot
Senior Caitlin Duree's 70-foot shot at the buzzer is caught on video, and it's one you have to see to believe.
It's one of those moments you have to see to believe. And you can. It was caught on tape.
The Eldorado and La Cueva High School girls basketball teams were tied in district at the end of the regular season, forcing a playoff game in the neutral Manzano High gym Tuesday.
In the last few minutes of the game, caught on tape below, La Cueva and Eldorado traded the lead from free throw to free throw. La Cueva jumped ahead 64-63.
With only 1.7 seconds remaining, Eagles senior guard Caitlin Duree made a 70-foot shot to win the game at the buzzer. Eldorado won the district championship game, 66-64.
