Big Applause for the Tony Hillerman MS Symphonic Band!

Under the direction of Alfredo Cordova, the THMS Symphonic Band earned 2nd place at the NMAA State Concert Band Contest, scoring an incredible 96.033 — the highest in school history and just .1 points shy of first place!

Under the direction of Alfredo Cordova, the THMS Symphonic Band earned 2nd place at the NMAA State Concert Band Contest, scoring an incredible 96.033 — the highest in school history and just .1 points shy of first place!

This marks the first time since 2019 that THMS has placed this high, and they were the top-scoring band in APS and the only Albuquerque band to place in the top three statewide.

We are so proud of these hardworking students and their amazing director. Way to represent THMS and APS with pride!
