From Tech to STEAM at Manzano Mesa

Manzano Mesa Elementary made the leap from a traditional tech class to a full STEAM program this year.

Manzano Mesa Elementary made the leap from a traditional tech class to a full STEAM program this school year—and students are thriving! With support from the APS Education Foundation and the local AIAA chapter, students explored robotics, engineering and more.

The program received a grant from the APS Education Foundation for the LEGO Spike Prime robotics kits and the local chapter of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) gave the program a Classroom Equipment Grant to purchase more dash robots. Manzano Mesa students had a great time engaging in science and engineering activities while applying their math and tech skills!
