IB Application Deadline Extended to March 15

The deadline has been pushed back a few weeks to accommodate sophomores who are in the process of registering for next year's classes.

In order to accommodate students who are in the process of registering for next year's classes, the application deadline for the International Baccalaureate Program has been extended a few weeks.

March 15 is now the deadline for applying for the program scheduled to begin at Sandia High next school year.

Though Sandia will house the IB Program, all qualified students in Albuquerque are invited and encouraged to apply. The program will be available to students in the Class of 2015. They will enter the two-year program as juniors.

Students who might benefit most from the program are highly motivated, have had academic success and are intellectually curious.

In addition to the application, the admissions process includes a personal interview, teacher recommendations, a review of scores from the fall 2012 PSAT, and a review of school transcripts and grades.

Applications and teacher references should be sent to the IB Office at Sandia, 7801 Candelaria NE, Albuquerque, 87110.

For more information on the application process, contact IB Coordinator Ann Goswick at or 294-1511, ext. 30136.
