Description
The International School at Mesa del Sol (TIS) is a public charter school, to begin its tenth year of operation in August 2019, offering a tuition-free International Baccalaureate curriculum and instruction in grades pre-Kindergarten through 12th grades. Our students are diverse covering central New Mexico geographical area of more than 50 square miles and 21 different zip codes. Class sizes are 20:1 (K is 18:1 with an Educational Assistant).
Benefits
Benefits include health insurance and retirement. Salary is based upon years of full- time teaching experience and formal education when a contract is offered. TIS uses an education / tiers / years of teaching experience pay scale and meets all state requirements.
General Qualifications
Teachers must have at the minimum a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably a degree in education or a field related to the area of specialization. Other support personnel require college degree, licensure, certificate depending upon NM PED requirements. Teachers must also possess (or be able to possess by the start of school in August 2021) a valid New Mexico teaching license, leave for international teaching candidates and be fluent English speakers.
