Desktop Support Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the initial point of contact for issues related to technical assistance, training and support as related to learning systems, hardware, and software Troubleshoots and resolves staff and students’ IT issues.
  • Creates and manages user accounts across various learning systems
  • Performs data entry
  • Works with hardware vendors, software support specialists, etc. to resolve problem 
  • Coordinates resolution of issues and tracks trouble tickets in a timely and professional manner.

 

Skills:

  • Very detail oriented 
  • Working knowledge of office equipment, Microsoft applications, G-suite 
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work 
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

 

Requirements: 

  • High School diploma required, Associates Degree preferred 
  • At least 1 year experience 
  • Must pass a pre-employment background

 

GEAR UP Partner District Program Coordinator (PC) 

A. PC duties should be exclusively devoted to GEAR UP activities and service delivery      outlined in the Continuous Program Improvement Playbook (CPIPlaybook), unless          other arrangements have been made  in advance and approved by the GUNM                 Director in writing.  

B. Administrative Responsibilities 

  1.  Review to ensure accuracy of all fiscal (Budget, RfR and Match), data, time and effort and  programmatic submissions 
  2.  Ensure district policies and procedures are followed, e.g., out of district travel requests and  permission slips for student travel, requisitions submitted in a timely manner, collect time sheets for  all hourly GEAR UP funded staff,  
  3. Ensure GUNM Minimum Standards and other requirements as assigned throughout the year are  followed which include but are not limited to
    • Contracts for vendors are submitted first to GUNM Fiscal Officer for review before the district  implements services 
    •  Follow federal guidelines for time and effort to ensure no co-mingling of federal funds or  supplanting operational funds 
  4.  Ensure data are collected and reported to GUNM within the timeframes outlined in Minimum  Standards or other required deadlines as assigned  
  5.  Create, implement, and monitor all elements of the Continuous Program Improvement Playbook
  6.  Attend ALL GUNM Program and Data Collaboratives and Math Professional Development trainings.
  7.  Other duties that support CPIPlaybook Performance Indicators; design push-in supports and targeted  interventions to increase student participation and outcomes. 

 C. Student Service Delivery Responsibilities 

  1.  Provide students with Academic Planning without duplicating services of school counselors
  2.  Be involved in the selection and recruitment of CCR and Math Intervention classes
  3.  Create and implement College Engagement Organization (CEO) according to Minimum Standards
  4.  Organize and Accompany students on college visits 
  5.  Attend the Student Leadership Conference (Fall and Spring) 
  6.  Other duties that support CPIPlaybook Performance Indicators; design push-in supports and targeted  interventions to increase student participation and outcomes. 

E. PC may teach one, but no more than two, college success classes such as an AVID elective;  

F. BA in education or a related field and a New  Mexico teaching license.

Pay: $40,998.00 - $70,844.00 per year
