William W. & Josephine Dorn Community is currently seeking to fill their open Office Manager position.

The Primary role and purpose of the office manager is to organize and maintain the normal administrative operations/work activities of the school. An additional requirement will be to be trained to do other tasks such as oversee the health room when needed. Provide secretarial duties for the director and other charter staff and assist with supervising students when needed.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Draft correspondence, forms, reports etc. for the director and other staff members using a personal computer.
  • Prepare data as needed when completing state and local reports.
  • Organize and manage hardcopy and computerized departmental files.
  • Manage student records as needed
  • Attend to routine bookkeeping duties, including basic math operations.
  • Assist with the completion of purchase requisitions, purchase orders and payment authorizations.
  • Maintain personnel time records including leave requests and reports.
  • Answer incoming calls, take accurate messages and transfer to appropriate staff.
  • Oversee schedules.
  • Receive, sort, and deliver mail and other documents to staff.
  • Ensure confidentiality of information.

Required Skills

High School Diploma or Equivalent (College education preferred)


  • Exceptional keyboarding, word processing and file maintenance skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic Math Skills.
  • Knowledge of personal computer and software in order to compile spreadsheets and databases and do word processing.
  • Can supervise/work with elementary aged students

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to read, write and speak Spanish
  • Experience with Synergy or other Student Information System (SIS)
  • Experience with APTA
