Showcasing the Elevated Arts Schools - Alamosa Elementary School

Alamosa Elementary has begun an exciting year and providing students with engaged learning and enhanced curricula.

Alamosa Elementary School has begun an exciting year as they return to in-person learning with Alvaro Ramazzini, Principal and Daniel Montano, Interim Assistant Principal.  This administrative team, along with their committed staff are on a journey to actively bring students families, and the community into the learning environment of the school.  They are beginning that journey by looking for children’s strengths, providing choices and opportunities to explore school academics as well as the arts as an Elevated Arts School through its partnership with Any Given Child Albuquerque.  The goals include a movement towards STREAM, (Science, Technology, Research, Engineering, Arts and Math).  Mr. Ramazzini stated, “Kids will want to come to Alamosa!”

Teachers are sharing their expertise with each other so that every person provides choices and opportunities for enhanced class curricula and students thrive.  Teachers will utilize a growth mindset which encourages children grow and change over time. Last year the staff utilized an Open Mike performance time for students to showcase their talents through on-line presentations.  This year they may try Freestyle Fridays to give students a platform to perform and share their talents. This school is ready to move!
