Elizabeth currently works at JKSIA with teachers and students. She is also a teaching artist for the Santa Fe Opera and has been invited to present one of her workshops at the JF Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. This honor reflects her creativity and quest for the high standards set by the Kennedy Center. This workshop, "Let's Make a Movie: Telling Stories the 21st Century Way" showcases her expertise in digital arts, media and literacy. Other workshops include "Garage Band Poetry" in which students analyze and write poetry contextualized with music. "Map Dance" is a study of world geography and digital citizenship. Elizabeth will work with Meow Wolf in Santa Fe to lead Edutainment workshops.

Elizabeth helps teachers plan with the end in mind and careful sequencing fo the intended learning by replacing the "sit and get" with the action verbs at the heart of the National Core Arts Standards.

The students and staff of the Albuquerque Public Schools benefit from the expertise of our Teaching Artists and Elizabeth Kunz is a great example of that collaboration.
