Definitions:
- Paid holidays: A paid holiday is paid time off that is negotiated by contracted employees.
- Non-paid holidays: A non-paid holiday is a day requiring an employee to submit a leave request.

About APS School Breaks
School breaks are not considered holidays and require a leave request to be submitted. APS school breaks include:
- Fall Break in October, two days
- Winter Break in December, except for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day
