Altered Mannequin Silent Auction Now Live

Support the APS Fine Arts efforts to showcase student artwork across the district.

The Mannequin Masterpiece Call for Artists was sent out in early September from the APS Fine Arts Department, and participants responded enthusiastically. Forty-five mannequins in total were received, from both district and Fine Arts Department personnel. These mannequins are now on display in the art case in the lobby at City Center. All are unique and distinct, handmade with a large variety of both materials and inspiration. The auction will be online starting Wednesday, November 6th and will run through Friday, December 6th. APS employees, as well as the general public, are welcome to participate in the bidding. A QR Code will be provided in the case that will take bidders to the auction page.

Proceeds will support the General Activity Fund at APS Fine Arts – to be used to help finance the visual art program’s efforts to promote student artwork through the district art shows: Metro, Focus, and Art is Elementary, as well as needs in the other arts disciplines.  Questions can be directed to Denise Rudd, Visual Arts Manager for Zones 2 & 3 at 505-880-8249 ext. 88034, or denise.rudd@aps.edu.
