Support to Program Providers

The APS Out of School Time Coordinator can help providers:

  • Understand and navigate required APS processes.
  • Provide updates regarding APS policies, procedures, events, and programs.
  • Support alignment between school priorities and goals and out of school program activities.
  • Mediate and resolve issues between schools and program providers.
  • Conduct site visits to review and monitor programs.

Getting Licensed/Registered to Provide Child Care

New Mexico has specific requirements that you will need to comply with in order to become a New Mexico ECECD state-licensed or registered childcare provider. You should first determine the specific type of childcare license or certification you are interested in getting. Childcare licensing in New Mexico is administered by ECECD Child Care Services Bureau.

Full Day, Before and After School Program Provider Organization Agreements

Any community organization that would like to partner with Albuquerque Public Schools to provide full day and/or before and/or after school programming in APS district facilities must review the Program provider organization agreement statement and guidance document.  The outline of these agreements are as follows, all staff working for the program must be APS fingerprinted and background checked and obtain a APS badge, OST programs will obtain a current building use agreement through facilitron, and all programs must adhere to APS standards of non-discrimination giving equal access to all students with disabilities.
