What You Need to Complete the FAFSA


To help make the most of our FAFSA help session, parents and students should sign up for the FSA ID before you join:

Helpful Information

We suggest that you have the following information with you, but you can still join the Help Session if you haven't gathered these materials yet!

  • Parent(s) and student’s Social Security Number (SSN), permanent resident card, green card, or I-94
    Note: if your parent doesn’t have an SSN, you can still apply!
  • List of schools the student is considering
  • Student’s driver’s license (if they have one)
  • Parent(s) marriage status and dates. If divorced, the month and year of the divorce
  • Parent(s) and student’s federal tax return (If they have one)
