Open / Switch Enrollment is October 1 through 16 

All benefit-eligible employees can review, enroll, or switch benefit selections online during this time. Benefit-eligible employees will receive emails from hr@aps.edu starting October 1. Benefit selections made during Open/Switch Enrollment will be effective on January 1, 2025.

NOTE: On January 1, 2025, APS will no longer offer Cigna Healthcare as a medical plan option. During Open/Switch Enrollment, employees with Cigna Healthcare will need to select either Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico (BCBS) or Presbyterian Health Plan (PHP). A comparison grid is available to review co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket maximums. 

About Medical Premiums

Your 2025 medical benefit plans have premium increases and there are some copay changes to the Express Scripts Pharmacy benefit. Dental and vision premiums remain the same with some enhancements to the dental benefits. 

Since there are changes it is important that you review the medical plan options which include Blue Cross Blue Shield and Presbyterian Health Plan.  A comparison grid is available to review co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket maximums. You may also compare 2025 premium payroll deductions between the two plans. Food Services employees should check the Food Services/C-schedule 2025 premium payroll deductions. The premium is the amount withheld from your paycheck twice a month.
